Anderson woman accused of food stamp fraud in Oconee

Authorities have confirmed the arrest in Oconee County of a 37-year old Anderson woman charged with food stamp fraud acquisition valued at $10 thousand or more.  According to the Oconee County booking report on Friday, Tina Marie Hall was jailed Friday.  The case against Hall is being referred to the 10th Circuit Solicitor’s Office for prosecution.  Until tried and found guilty, defendants are presumed innocent.  The public information officer for South Carolina DSS, Will Batchelor, provided 101.7/WGOG NEWS the following statement:  “The South Carolina Department of Social Services, Office of Inspector General, is dedicated to eradicating fraud, waste, abuse and misconduct in programs administered by the Department.  Reports of fraud can be made to the South Carolina Department of Social Services, Office of Inspector General at http://dss.sc.gov/about/fraud or by calling 800/694-8518.
