Anderson CEO arrested

State revenue agents arrested an Anderson CEO today on multiple charges of tax evasion.  According to announcement by the South Carolina Revenue Department, James Patrick Federspiel is accused over a seven-year period of evading a total of $393,264 in state taxes.  It states that 76-year old Federspiel is president and part owner of companies that earned a total of $6.3 million between 2013 and 2019.  A conviction could mean a maximum of five years in prison or a $10 thousand fine, or both for each of the seven counts.
