Anderson Bank Robbed Thursday

The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office is continuing their investigation today of an armed robbery at the TD Bank location on South Main Street that occurred yesterday morning.

According to a press release from the Sheriff’s Office, the robbery occurred at around 9:05 am.

According to information obtained during the investigation, a male subject entered the bank, pointed a firearm at employees and demanded money.  After receiving money, the subject fled the scene and left the incident location in a dark in color sedan, according to the incident report.

Deputies later located a suspect around Whitehall Road, with deputies conducting a traffic stop and took the suspect in custody on Lost Lake Road near Sullivan Road.

The Sheriff’s Office has charged 58-year-old Christopher Seamon of Anderson with one count each of Possession of a Weapon during the commission of a Violence Crime and Entering a Bank with Intent to Steal.

According to the arrest warrants obtained by the Sheriff’s Office, Seamon was wearing a wig and sunglasses during the course of the robbery and the defendant was found with evidence of the robbery in his possession when he was apprehended.
