An uplifting experience for Gloria Moore

At her office, Gloria Moore spends her days immersed in the financial numbers that come with running a public school district. But with the cancellation of the rest of the school year because of COVID-19, Moore is one of many district workers who have been pitching in to help in other areas. She’s involved in handing out packaged meals to distance learning students who might not otherwise be getting proper nutrition now that school cafeterias, just like classrooms, are closed. It’s an experience from which Moore derives inner satisfaction. She gets to meet students and to know other district workers she might not normally have contact with.
