An undeniable American hero, says Scott

U-S Senator Tim Scott calls Dr. Martin Luther King an American hero.  In a statement on the national holiday marking King’s birthdate, the South Carolina Republican said, “His passion, his blood, sweat, and tears, and his ultimate sacrifice are forever an integral part of our country’s history.”  By saying  ultimate sacrifice, Scott referred to King’s assassination in 1968 in Memphis, Tennessee, where King had gone to support poorly-paid sanitation workers who went on strike.
