Albert Cooper Littlejohn Jr.

 

Seneca, SC — Albert Cooper Littlejohn, Jr., 75, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, in
Anderson, SC.

 

Born in Jonesville, SC, Al was the only child of Albert Cooper and Etha Frances Ellerbe (DD) Littlejohn, Sr.  He graduated from the College of William and Mary where he was a member of the Queen’s Guard and director of the student radio station, WCWM.  He earned a Master’s degree in Communications from UNC at Chapel Hill.

 

Following graduation, Al answered the call to serve, joining the U.S. Army, and served in the Vietnam War. Obtaining the rank of Captain, Al was honorably discharged.

 

Al worked for Clemson University’s Communications/Video Production Center for 40 years and served as director for 13 years until his retirement in 2014.  He was a member of Fort Hill Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder.

 

He is survived by his wife, Virginia (Ginger) Pruitt Littlejohn; a daughter, Angela (Angie) Frances Littlejohn; and, a son, Cooper Austin Littlejohn.

 

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Fort Hill Presbyterian Church, Clemson, SC, with a reception following in Tartan Hall.
