Accumulations possible between 1″ and 4″

The winter weather that arrived in Oconee last night will move from the Upstate to the Midlands in the afternoon and evening hours.  Current forecasts call for possible snow accumulations between 1″ and 4.”  DOT crews pre-treated bridges and interstates, but motorists should watch for slow-moving equipment performing anti-icing and de-icing work.  Temperatures are ranging from 29 to 35 degrees.  Tonight’s Oconee County low could fall to 21 degrees.  It’s a strange winter forecast we are dealing with—because it could be 70 degrees here by Sunday.
