Accident near Seneca involved a forklift and two cars

The state patrol continues to investigate a late afternoon accident near Seneca that involved two Chevy Camaros and a forklift and resulted in injuries to at least two of the people involved.  The patrol logged the accident at 4:15 pm on the Wells Highway at Cross Creek.  Trooper Matt Southern said a 2015 Camaro, driven by Seneca resident Chad Campbell, took evasive action to avoid a forklift in the median, but hit a fire hyrdrant and a guy wire to a utility pole.  At the time, a flagger was in place at the forklift.  Campbell, 27, years old was taken by EMS to the hospital with what were believed to be minor injuries.  A second car, a 2012 Camaro, driven by Josey White of Seneca, hit the forklift, according to the trooper.  White went by private vehicle to a Greenville hospital.  A juvenile, un-identified by name, traveling as a passenger of White’s was air-lifted for medical treatment.  According to Southern, forklift operator Darryl Whobrey of Seneca, was in-injured.
