A verdict for the plaintiff

An Oconee jury awarded $1.1 million today to the plaintiff in the case of Adams v. Bragg. The case arose from a 2015 traffic accident in rural Crossroads Community, south of Seneca. The collision involved a service truck driven by Blue Ridge Electric employee Trina Adams and a second vehicle driven by Ted Bragg. Adams, a West Union resident, testified emotionally as blown up photographs of her surgically-repaired, swollen right foot were displayed in front of the jury box. She spoke about the severe pain that she felt which forced her to miss months of work and relegate her to the use of crutches and a knee scooter. Adams said her husband was forced to carry her to the bathroom.
