A technology breakthrough for Oconee court

A prosecutor believes the Oconee General Sessions Court achieved a first this week when it comes to melding the courtroom with the virtual world.  A defendant who had been released from jail on a bond entered a plea virtually.  From her internet from her home, the defendant figured out how to use the virtual courtroom through sccourts.org.  That, according to Deputy Solicitor Lindsey Simmons, was “pretty cool.”
