A race for Sheriff guaranteed

This year’s Republican primary election in Oconee can count on a contest for Sheriff.  A look at the latest candidate listing compiled by county and state election officials shows that Amanda Tinsley, an investigator with the Sheriff’s Office, will contest for the office in June.  That’ll put her in competition with her employer, the two-term Sheriff Mike Crenshaw.  Other recent filing for Oconee offices include Karl Addis for a new term as coroner and a return to politics by Madison resident Jack Collins, candidate for the Republican nomination for Seat Four, Oconee County Council.
