A new tenant for a nearby industrial park

A total of 90 new jobs are being promised as part of an $11 million-dollar new investment into an industry park in nearby northeast Georgia.  Titan Steel Door is expanding to the Gateway Industrial Park in Hart County, not far across the lake from Oconee County.  Some Oconeeans point to the Gateway park as an example of a thriving complex of varied industrial operations and contrast it to Oconee’s failed attempts to attract tenants to the empty Golden Corner Commerce Park on highway 59 near Fair Play. According to Lake Hartwell WLHR at Lavonia, Titan Door will open a facility of more than 145,000 square feet in a two-year old spec building, a project of the Joint Development Authority in Stephens, Franklin and Hart counties.
