A new home for a Clemson University department

Clemson University believes it has begun a new era to help steward South Carolina’s natural resources.  Ground was broken Friday for a new home for the university’s Department of Forestry and Environmental Conservation.  The building at Cherry and Perimeter roads is to contain 85 thousand square feet and be ready in 2026.  According to the state Forestry Commission, forestry generates $23 billion annually and accounts for more than 100 thousand jobs.
