A fundraising bid delayed

After being thwarted on its request for a July 30 referendum, the Corinth-Shiloh Fire Department is turning to its community members for donations.  Those donations, says Chief Christenbury, are needed “for ongoing training and operations” for the rest of the calendar year.  The mostly-volunteer fire station now gears toward a vote in the November General Election to decide whether it may create a districtwide tax to meet future bills — much in the same manner that the Keowee Key-based Keowee Fire Department enjoys.
