A counteroffer in the works

There has been movement on that recent pitch made by the county administrator to the Oconee Joint Regional Sewer Authority.  Scott Moulder, on behalf of the county, appeared before the authority board of commissioners and proposed the idea of a partnership in which the authority would assume maintenance and operation of the county-owned sewer facilities serving the Golden Corner Commerce Park, still in the market for its first occupant.  Chris Eleazer, authority executive director, confirmed to 101.7/WGOG NEWS an authority committee has responded by recommending a counteroffer.  That counteroffer is likely to be in writing in time for the full board to act during its meeting Monday night next week.
