A concerned resident on the side of a mask law

Ahead of a meeting next week, Walhalla leaders are mulling over their controversial mask law and are welcoming public opinion.  In the meantime the law is, in effect, on pause as the police are not making cases.  In the view of at least one member of the public, the controversy is misplaced.  101.7.WGOG NEWS has received an unsigned letter who says, “I say shame on you who won’t wear a mask to protect me – I wear one to protect you.”  The letter writer also said, “We were glad to see face mask required.  After trying to mostly stay at home to avoid Covid, we were able to dine and shop locally and feel somewhat safe.  My point is, who is more important the occasional tourist who drives through town and doesn’t stop because we have a mask law?”
