A 1,000 apartment complex possible?

The Epoch student apartments and the complexes under construction across 123 at Hartwell Village are in Oconee’s pipeline for sewer service, but not the possibility of an additional one thousand apartment units nearby.  In the last two months, members of the Joint Regional Sewer Authority have heard about and discussed apparent interest from a realtor for a project to construct a complex of one thousand new apartment beds in the vicinity of 123 and the Davis Creek Road.  The sewer authority informed the realtor that, at this time, it can’t accept the flow at this time, but is working on a solution.  Much  of the development occurring on 123, the Seneca-Clemson corridor, is being fueled by a number of factors involving both the city of Clemson and the university.  They include Clemson University’s push for students to find off-campus places to live and a limit on available property for development inside corporate limits of Clemson which on a couple of sides are bound by university property.
