Nuke plant intruder pleads guilty

An elderly Arkansas man who inexplicably aimed his car at Oconee Nuclear security personnel has been ordered to serve six years in prison.  Doyle Wayne Whisenhunt pleaded guilty yesterday afternoon in General Sessions Court at Walhalla to assault and battery first degree and was sentenced to 10 years in prison, suspended to six years active incarceration, to be followed by five years probation.  Deputy Solicitor Jason Alderman said the defendant was remorseful for his actions and because of being intoxicated at the time was unclear as to his motivations. As the result of the incident last November, Whisenhunt was identified as the suspect and was tracked to the front of a home in nearby rural Pickens County where he was taken into custody by law enforcement.
