Scheduling an executive session to talk it over

A developer makes a plea last night at the Walhalla City Hall.  Danny Hutchinson requested the city help him bring further commercial development to property behind the Zaxby’s and Waffle House restaurants on the Blue Ridge Boulevard.  According to city administrator Celia Myers, the properties there are in the city limits. A process is underway to locate a new Rosa Clark Medical Clinic.  In recent times, according to Hutchinson, failed attempts have been made to interest Aldi’s supermarket and Tractor Supply.  Last night Hutchinson requested whatever assistance possible to offset the costs of an eight-inch water line – materials for which are estimated between $80 and $85 thousand.  After hearing Hutchinson, city council decided to schedule the matter for an executive session August 20 on the night of its regular meeting.
