A wet coastal plain the coming week

A trip to the South Carolina coast could be impacted next week by a tropical storm that is liable to track early next week along or near the coast.  However, South Carolina forecaster Frank Strait says there remains considerable uncertainty about the track and the timing.  Next name on the storm list is Debby.  From the way Strait sees it, there’s high confidence about heavy rain and flooding affecting South Carolina than with the other risks usually brought by tropical cyclones.  Astronomical tides will be high early next week, as a new moon occurs on Sunday.
