Burt Reynolds’ mountain home sells

A real estate outfit is announcing the sale of a Blue Ridge Mountains home said to have been the favorite of the late actor Burt Reynolds.  The sale fetched $2.9 million, according to TopTenRealEstateDeals.com.  The home in Highlands, North Carolina was built in 1972, the same year that the movie “Deliverance” premiered with Reynolds in the starring role.  The listing was held by Jody Lovell at Sotheby’s International Realty.  TopTenRealEstateDeals said this about the home:  “While he was filming Deliverance in North Carolina, Burt fell in love with the tranquil beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains.  With his then-wife actress Loni Anderson, Reynolds purchased a home in Highlands, North Carolina.  Built by Frank Lloyd Wright protege Jim Fox….
