Water-related death
An autopsy takes place today to assist the Oconee coroner in the investigation of the death yesterday of a 53-year-old Walhalla man. Coroner Addis says emergency divers pulled Scott Lamar Price from water 12 to 15 feet deep near Clemson. Just before 8:30 yesterday morning, authorities were alerted by the report of a drowning in Lake Hartwell near the Hart’s Cove apartment complex. According to Addis, Price tried to swim across a cove when he went underwater. The coroner says Price was presented to the emergency department at the hospital in cardiac arrest.
