Maintenance on Clemson water system

Clemson’s water supplier, Anderson Joint Regional Water System, will undertake maintenance during the early morning hours tomorrow on the Clemson Booster Pump Station.  The pump station will be taken offline and by-passed, but the work is designed to not cause a disruption of flow or pressure.  However, the maintenance may result in a temporary, slight discoloration of water.  If discolor occurs, city of Clemson says its utilities department will flush system to remove the discoloration.  Clemson says the water will be safe to consume and use as normal.  But, if you experience any discoloration, you are asked to flush the water for about 5 to 15 minutes from a bathtub faucet or exterior faucet.
