Irene Griffin

Seneca – Irene Baker “Pinky” Griffin, 93, wife of the late Grover Griffin, passed away on, Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at the Oaks at Seneca.

Born in Florence, SC, Irene, known affectionally by her friends and family as Pinky, was the daughter of the late John and Mary Baker.  Pinky retired from Carolina Power and Light.  She enjoyed dancing, and classic country music, and was a faithful member of Reedy Fork Baptist Church.

 

Pinky is survived by her son, Tom Ford (Kathy) of Seneca, SC; daughter, Mary McCulloch (Mike) of Hartsville, SC; 3 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

 

The family would like to offer a Special Thanks to the staff at the Oaks at Seneca and Providence Care.

 

Per Pinky’s wishes, a graveside service will be held, at 11:00 am, Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Prosser Cemetery in Pamplico, SC.   The family will receive friends, Thursday, July 28, 2022, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Sandifer Funeral Home.

 

The family is at their respective homes. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Pinky’s memory may be made to Reedy Fork Baptist Church, 115 E. Reedy Fork Road, Seneca, SC 29678. A message of condolence may be written to the family by visiting www.sandiferfuneralhome.com.
