Alexander in number one Senate spot

 

One of the advantages that state Senate District One voters have remarked about having their resident senator in office for more than 25 years is seniority.  And that’s what Walhalla’s Thomas Alexander has built over his time at the state capitol.  His colleagues there would agree. They’ve voted the office products businessman as Senate President.  He succeeds Gaffney’s Harvey Peeler, now chairman of the chamber’s finance committee.
