Open house allays worried neighbors

A recent meet-and-greet with the immediate neighbors of the Oconee Regional Airport is considered to have succeeded to allay concerns of exactly what the airport is about to do in the Shiloh Road area of the airport property. According to Jeff Garrison, airport manager, airport officials were able to shoot down persisting rumors that the airport is about to re-locate part of the Shiloh Road to make safer the airplanes’ approach to and from. Among others, those rumors worried members of the Mount Nebo Baptist Church. The only partial road-relocation involves the nearby and lesser traveled Nebo Church Road. The project contractor J-Davis has issued a timetable for the work to start around January and finish during the 2020 Clemson football season.
