$45M proposed Oconee budget a starting point

Scott Moulder, the Oconee County administrator, has introduced a proposed new county budget of $45 million dollars for the consideration of the county council. The council met as a budget committee Tuesday, but will have more opportunity to further discuss the proposed budget and make changes, if desired. Moulder says projected numbers anticipate an additional revenue in 2018-19 of at least $168 thousand in property taxes, much of that due to fee-lieu-of taxes paid by industry, the result of projects pursued by the office of the county Economic Alliance.
