432 tests conducted Saturday in Walhalla

In a four-hour period Saturday, Prisma Health administered free tests to 432 people in Walhalla to determine if they are positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19). Prisma, partnering with South Carolina DHEC, chose the James Brown Elementary School on the Coffee Road as the site for Saturday’s testing.  That event and other likes it were designed to take testing to reach populations that otherwise may not have access to traditional testing or online virtual visits.  Test results are expected within four days from Saturday.  Additional testing events are expected to be announced in the weeks to come.
