4-H delivers life skills

These days Tom Garrison is a seasoned American farmer.  He’s a fourth generation farmer who runs Denver Downs and his father, Ed Garrison, was the namesake for Clemson’s T-Ed Garrison Arena near campus.  Even though he grew up in a farm family, Garrison counts his childhood experience in 4-H as invaluable.  Garrison said, “It teaches you so much that is so applicable to your adult life.  It’s followed me all these years – and made me who I am.”  Garrison was the banquet speaker for this year’s 4-H Congress at the Madren Center.
