25-year prison term for sex criminal

A 67-year old man received a 25-year prison term for his part in multiple sex offenses perpetrated on a child. An apology from defendant Anthony Sluder and a plea by his attorney for a minimum sentence were rejected by Judge Cordell Maddox who listened as an investigating officer referred to the severity of the facts in the case. A statement outlining those details was read by the judge, but not read aloud in the courtroom. Sluder pleaded guilty to five cases of incest and five cases of criminal sexual conduct with a minor. A co-defendant in the case is scheduled to appear before Maddox on Wednesday.
