2 to 28 COVID deaths in one 24-hour count period

Monday was a deadly day for South Carolinians with COVID-19.  The state health agency reports that, for the 24-hour period ending at 11:59 Monday night, there were 28 virus deaths across the state.  They included an elderly Oconeean who died April 22. On the previous day, the deaths of two South Carolinians were confirmed.  New COVID cases reported by DHEC:  403.  Seventeen are in Oconee.  Of 8,953 test results in the state, the positivity was 6.6%.
