12 COVID deaths in the tri-counties

Deaths are on the rise, cases are, too, in the newest numbers released today by the state health agency as it tracks COVID-19 in South Carolina.  For the 24-hour count finished Wednesday, DHEC confirmed five new Oconee County deaths; four new Pickens County deaths; and three new Anderson County deaths. In all, 60 new South Carolina deaths.  New cases of the virus statewide numbered 3,610–68 of them in Oconee County.  Of 40,559 test results received, the new positivity is 11.9%.
