Westminster residents asked to speak out!

Two new “CAT” buses are being ordered by the city of Seneca for the purpose of extending passenger service into Oconee County beyond the Seneca area. And now’s the time for residents in the Westminster area to speak up as to where they’d like to see the buses run. Officials say by filling out a six-question survey at www.oconeesc.com/transportation, your opinion will count in deciding exactly the route expected for free transportation that could form a loop connecting Seneca with Westminster, Walhalla, and West Union. Councilwoman Susan Ramey last night stressed the importance of city and area residents to have their opinions heard. Ramey welcomed to last night’s council meeting Sharon DeRidder, grant coordinator for Oconee County. DeRidder told 101.7/WGOG NEWS that when the public schools return next week, the students will be asked to carry home copies of the survey for their parents or them to fill out.
