Wanted man found dead

A 25-year old West Union man, identified by the police as the suspect in two shootings in Westminster, has been found dead in the city of Anderson.  The Anderson County coroner, Greg Shore, says Noah Elijah Cleveland died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound and the death has been ruled a suicide. Cleveland’s death is also being investigated by the Anderson city police.  The police, the fire department, and the EMS responded around 11 last night to the Red Roof Inn on Anderson’s N. Main Street and Cleveland was pronounced dead a few minutes later.  The Westminster police yesterday identified Cleveland as a man wanted on charges of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, in the police department’s investigation of a Sunday incident in which two people were wounded by gunfire in the area of  Park Avenue and Prichard Street.
