Veterans’ special invitation to parade through Seneca

Seneca missed a chance to host this year’s county Veterans Day parade, but city officials are determined to help make up for the parade cancelled due to rain.  Jerry Dyar, V-A director, says Mayor Alexander and Administrator Moulder are inviting veterans to walk in the city’s Christmas parade next week.  The parade will be Monday night.  Dyar says, “We are asking all veterans who want to walk in the parade to simply show up around 5 pm on Monday down at 4th Street.  All veterans will be lined up near the very front of the parade.  We hope to put an American flag in the hands of as many veterans as possible, compliments of the Oconee County Veterans Council.”  You can get more information by calling the V-A office or the Seneca City Hall.
