Two Oconee COVID deaths, a third is probable

The toll of dead from COVID-19 across South Carolina (and in Oconee) remains on the rise, as evidenced by yesterday’s report from the state health agency.  The DHEC numbers reported on Sunday showed 76 new COVID deaths across the state.  They included two elderly Oconeeans– one on January 14 and the other, January 15.  The death of an additional Oconeean is projected as probable by DHEC.  Among 4,554 new confirmed cases statewide, 102 were from Oconee County.  From 19,484 test results received by the state, positivity was 23.5%.
