Today’s South Carolina (and Oconee) COVID-19 numbers

South Carolina DHEC announces 586 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in its latest report, issued this afternoon.  Today’s numbers include two additional deaths in the state.  Today’s numbers make the 2020 case count at 176,373 and the death toll 3,778.  DHEC wants everyone to be positive they are negative.  You can do that by routinely getting tests if you are regularly out in the community.  And it’s especially important to be tested before and after holiday traveling or events.  For a test location near you, visit scdhed.gov/findatest. So far, 2.1 million tests results have been reported to the state agency.  On yesterday alone 3,921 test results were received.  The positivity was 14.9%.
