Suspect sought in Oconee drug activity investigation

Oconee sheriff’s officers continue to look for a Walhalla area man for whom it intends to serve warrants related to an investigation of narcotics investigation. The Sheriff’s Office this afternoon did not identify the suspect by name, but said a search warrant was executed at his home Wednesday morning at 380 Coffee Road. The suspect was found at the scene Wednesday. A Code Yellow–indicating a situation of moderate, potential danger—was placed on the James Brown Elementary School, but there turned out to be no danger to the school or the public. Narcotics agents are following leads on the whereabouts of their suspect.
