Seneca temporarily closes city buildings

Four city of Seneca employees have tested positive for COVID-19 and the city, out of caution, has temporarily closed city buildings.  The plan is to re-open the offices and buildings at 8 o’clock Monday morning after the facilities undergo a deep cleaning.  Essential services, including the police and fire departments, remain on normal schedule.  The buildings housing police, fire, and public works will be restricted to essential personnel only.  Utility payments may be made online or using the drop box in the drive-through window at city hall.  For emergency utility concerns, call 885-2723.  Payments for business licenses and hospitality taxes will be deferred until Monday, when the city buildings re-open.  Tomorrow’s Jazz on the Alley will take place, but those attending must wear masks unless they are sitting at a table drinking or eating.
