Reminder–COVID-19 still prevalent

The numbers published this afternoon by South Carolina DHEC are a reminder that the one-year old world pandemic is still with us.  On today’s statewide report, 733 new cases, nearly double the number reported yesterday.  Of the 733, ten of those cases are Oconeeans.  Monday two deaths were reported across the state; today’s report lists 38 deaths, including a middle aged Oconeean who died March 15.  The state health agency also considers the death of an elderly Oconeean March 6 as a probable virus death.  Of 24,026 test results, the positivity was 4.5%.  It had been 4.8% one day early.
