Rebounding from a Labor Day weekend fire

Insurance proceeds have given Seneca money to start to replenish its fleet of sanitation trucks, three of which are considered destroyed by a Labor Day weekend fire.   The mayor and city council were told last night that insurance has approved $470 thousand.  City Administrator Scott Moulder also announced that all but $1 thousand of what the city spent on a new RotopaX truck was approved. And last night city leaders agreed on a plan to start ordering replacement trucks.  The fire left Seneca with only one operating truck.  To keep up garbage collections, Seneca has resorted to renting trucks.
