Preston Gibson
Westminster – Preston Delane “Bree” Gibson, 85, husband of Patsy Viola Blackwell Gibson, passed away Thursday, July 4th, 2024 at Prisma Health Cottingham Hospice House.
Born May 31st, 1939, in Westminster, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Luther and Nicie Roach Gibson. Preston retired from Greenfield Industries and was a member of Mount Vernon Holiness Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
In addition to his wife Patsy Gibson, Preston is survived by his children, Lane Gibson of Westminster, Earlene Wood (Gary) of Seneca, Jerome Gibson (Rhonda) of Fair Play; grandchildren, Justin, Daphne, Zach, Stephen, Samantha, Crystal, Colton, Chevez; and 16 loving great-grandchildren; Chandler, Jaxton, Zayleigh, Xzavier, Kaden, Rilan, Ethan, Madi, Kolben, Klayton, Kenley, Avery, Abbey, Axel, Ace, and Zane.
In addition to his parents, Preston is preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Teresa Gibson; brothers, William Gibson, Charlie Gibson, Tillman Gibson, Leonard Gibson, Harold Gibson; and sister, Frances Freeman.
A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 pm, Monday, July 8th, 2024 at Mount Vernon Holiness Church with burial to follow at Heritage Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm, Monday, July 8th, 2024 at Mount Vernon Holiness Church prior to the service.
