Paula Gantt

Seneca-Paula Ann Marcengill Gantt, 73, widow of the late Kenneth Gantt, passed away March 3, 2020 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

 

Born in Boiling Springs, NC, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Joyce Blanton Marcengill. Paula was the former owner of Salem Gas and Oil Company, she worked at

J.P. Stevens as a weaver, and was a member of Westminster Wesleyan Church. 

 

Mrs. Gantt is survived by daughters, Emma “Joy” Joyce Whisenhunt of La France, Kimberly Ann Cannon of Salem; brother, Robin Marcengill; sister-in-law, Teresa Marcengill; eight grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren. 

 

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Gantt is preceded in death by brothers, David Marcengill, Buster Marcengill, and Russell Buck Marcengill. 

 

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm, Thursday, March 5, 2020 at the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home with burial to follow at the Pitts Family Cemetery at Toxaway Baptist Church.  The family will receive friends 2:00 – 3:00 pm prior to the service at the Funeral Home.
