NATHAN SHARP JR.

Westminster– Nathan Sharp Jr., 84, husband of Janice Ann Morris Sharp, passed away on Tuesday, May 14^th, 2024 at his residence.

Born February 6^th, 1940 in New Orleans, Louisiana, he was the son of the late Nathan Sharp Sr. and Emily Pellegrin Sharp. Nathan was a schoolteacher and girls basketball coach for six years before becoming a State Farm claims specialist for thirty-two years.  

 

Nathan was a very generous man who loved, hunting and fishing in his earlier years as well as LSU athletics. But his true passion was his family.

Nathan is survived by his daughter, Kelly Sharp Oliver (Michael); son, Sean C. Sharp (Brenda); brother, Jerry Wayne Sharp; and five grandchildren, Christopher Sharp, Josh Oliver, Chance Oliver, Sarah Catherine Sharp, and Ethan Sharp.

 

In addition to his parents, Nathan was predeceased by his brother, Orville Jenkins; and sister Charlotte Sharp Tricou.

 

A private Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church of Seneca.
