Mixed paper recycling returns Monday

Again, starting Monday, Oconeeans may resume recycling mixed paper and newspaper at the county recycling centers.  They will continue to accept regular household garbage, cardboard, scrap metal, aluminum cans and tires.  At this time, however, they won’t take plastic or glass.  Those two materials pose a high risk of contamination and a potential threat to county personnel.  When visiting a recycling center, as much as possible, groups of people should be limited to three or fewer.  Everyone should keep a safe social distance of six feet from others.
