Loaded guns, narcotics, alcohol seized in traffic stop
A traffic violation early Sunday raised the suspicions of a county deputy on U-S 123 in Oconee County. After learning that the Dodge pickup truck was registered as a Honda, the deputy investigated further and discovered two loaded weapons, narcotics and an open container of alcohol. The weaponry was identified as a pistol and a shotgun. The following charges were laid against Kenneth Scott Sills, 54-year old Bountyland Road resident: unlawful carrying a pistol; possession of a sawed off shotgun, possession of a controlled substance. Sills was issued the following traffic tickets: driving under suspension, operating an uninsured vehicle, failure to register a vehicle, and open container.
