JIMMIE STRICKLAND   

West Union – Jimmie Dean “JD” Strickland, 73, passed away on Sunday, July 14^th, 2024 at his residence.

 

Born December 10^th, 1950 in Seneca, South Carolina, JD was the son of the late Roy B. and June Nuckols Strickland. JD was the former owner of Jim’s Pool Room and retired from the Oconee Country Club. He was a member of the Westminster Masonic Lodge #200 and attended Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. He was a proud graduate of Central Wesleyan College, having earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Teaching.

 

JD is survived by his stepdaughter, Stacey Neville Griesheimer (Matt) of Charleston; brother, Randy Strickland (Lisa) of Seneca; sister, Mary Stickland of Seneca; and grandson, Noah Griesheimer.  

 

In addition to his parents, JD was predeceased by his partner, Diane Neville.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, August 3^rd, 2024 at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church with burial to follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
