Janice Lee Milbert

Janice Lee Milbert, age 80, of Seneca, SC, passed away peacefully, October 9th, 2020 at the Hospital.

She was affectionately known as “Jan” by her friends.

She was born on January 28th, 1940 in Hillsdale, MI to the late Ross and Alice (Cutler) Bradford. Most of Janice’s youth was spent in Hillsdale and she Graduated from High School on June 12th, 1957. Following graduation from High School, Janice married Keith Miller and moved to Roseville, MI where Keith was an Engineer for GMC. Eight years later, Janice and Daughter, Terri Dee moved to Traverse City, MI. Following her daughter’s Graduation, Janice moved to Naples, FL where she was a hostess at Eagle’s Nest Resort. She later married Arthur Milbert, who was a contractor, for many years in Naples, FL. To distance themselves from the devastating hurricanes, Art and Janice moved to Seneca, SC where they enjoyed many years. Janice continued her job for the Florida demolition company for many years and assisted Arthur in continuing his contracting license. Janice enjoyed sharing decorating ideas with friends. She was also a talented artist selling and showing her work at shops and galleries. During her time in Seneca, Janice and Art cultivated many friendships at their local watering hole and place of escape, “The Spot”. Many of these Friends continued to support Janice after Art’s passing in 2018. One of these friendships turned into a special relationship that brought Janice great Joy and much support over the last two years. Ron and Janice enjoyed many new experiences all the while Ron, continued to be a pillar of support for Janice.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Keith Miller and two years ago, Arthur Milbert, parents Ross and Alice (Cutler)Bradford. Bradford Grandparents, Cutler Grandparents, and cousin Kay (Bradford)Schmitt. She is survived by her sister Claudette(Bradford) Clark and Daughter Terri Dee (Marty) Gunaca plus grandchildren Zachary (Jessie) Schneider, Monica (John) Michelotti, and Kindra Haugen of Washington State. Also, one great-grandson, Cash Miller Schneider.

Monday, October 12th, 2:00 pm

Keowee Funeral Services of Oconee Inc. (Formerly Brown-Oglesby Funeral Home)

Pastor Matt Turner will be officiating the Service.

Burial will take place at Memorial Gardens in Traverse City, MI at a later date.
