Jack Campbell

Walhalla, SC– Jack Gordon Campbell, 92, husband of the late Doris Bennett Campbell of 54 years, of Walhalla, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at Oconee Memorial Hospital.

 

A native of Walhalla, SC, Mr. Campbell was the son of the late James G. and Willie Williams Campbell. He was the owner and operator of J&J Auto Service and a volunteer fireman for the city of Walhalla for many years. Mr. Campbell was a member of the Hejaz Shrine Temple and the Blue Ridge Masonic Lodge #92. He was also a long-time member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.

 

Mr. Campbell is survived by his daughters: Susan Fuller (Steve) of Greenville, SC and Karen Lawrence (Chris) of Walhalla, SC; grandchildren: Nicholas Lawrence (Jessy), Adam Lawrence (Victoria), Michael Lawrence (Chelsea), Samuel Fuller and Miranda Fuller (Alexander Knight); two great-grandchildren: Max and Archer Lawrence; sisters-in-law: Judy Campbell of Kennesaw, GA, Alice Campbell of Staunton, IL and Jane Campbell of Walhalla; and special friend: Barbara Pearson.

 

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by his sisters: Geraldine Campbell and Patricia Cockrill; and brothers: Thomas, Wade, and Gerard Campbell.

 

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at St. John’s Lutheran Church.

 

The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.

The family will be at their respective homes.
