It’s day one for the public schools

Those yellow school buses are back on the road today. And It’s also day one for the new Tri-County Tech campus in Oconee County. Clemson welcomes university students for a new academic year with this evening’s Welcome Back Festival. The downtown Clemson event means College Street, from highway 93 to Keith Street, will be closed from about 4:45 pm to 9 tonight. The closure also affects side streets and will follow the same pattern as downtown closures announced for gameday weekend Friday nights.
